Mainvest focuses on brick and mortar businesses, such as:

  • Shops and boutiques

  • Salons

  • Fitness and yoga studios

  • Breweries and distilleries

  • Restaurants

  • Cafes

  • Agriculture (traditional farms as well as urban agriculture)

Real estate and service-based businesses tend not to align well with the revenue sharing note, which provides investors with quarterly returns as a percentage of gross revenue. Mainvest typically doesn’t work with technology startups or apps. We aren’t supporting manufacturing projects at this time, but may in the future.
